Dress tips
It’s best to dress in layers.
Pack versatile clothing for Peru. In the dry season (May-September) take light layers and a jumper for cooler evenings. Comfortable shoes for exploring. In the rainy season (November-April), add a waterproof jacket, poncho and shoes. Don’t forget hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent. A light jacket may be necessary in coastal areas such as Lima. Be prepared for varying weather due to the varied geography.
Altitude Sickness
It is not unusual in the Andes.
Take it easy when you land in Peru and try not to do anything too strenuous.
