JetSMART and Norwegian airlines join the region
The low-cost airline world in Argentina is boiling. This past September 2018, two companies started selling their tickets for the domestic flights within Argentina and also to destinations connecting with Chile.
The Norwegian company Norwegian Air will start flying from next October 16, 2018, with destinations to Cordoba and Mendoza, which will depart from the airport of the city of Buenos Aires, Aeroparque. Other destinations that will be available, always departing from Buenos Aires, are Mendoza, Iguazu, Neuquén, Bariloche and Salta.
On the other hand, the ultra-low cost airline JetSMART is the second company that started with the sale of tickets for the routes that will operate from Santiago and La Serena, Chile to Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Mendoza, Argentina. These regional flights will be launched between December 2018 and January 2019.
The low cost currently has a fleet of five new Airbus A320 aircraft and by the end of 2018 it will have a fleet of nine aircraft, to reach the fleet of one hundred that they intend to obtain by the year 2026
