The low cost Chilean airline JetSmart announced the start of a new direct route between Santiago (Chile) and Arequipa (Peru), from April 17, 2019
There will be two weekly flights, and the flight will last 3 hours.
In a statement the airline said the destination was launched with promotional prices and is now available to be booked on the company’s website.
JetSmart considered this nonstop connection of the Chilean capital with one of the most tourist cities in southern Peru, as “another step towards consolidation at the international level, with a fifth destination outside of Chile, within just one year and a half of operations. “
This direct route between Santiago and Arequipa will allow connecting those who fly from that city to Cusco by using other airlines; It will also provide an easy access to arrive by land to Puno, the iconic city of Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world.
Currently, JetSmart operates 26 national routes and on the international plane, it flies to Lima (Peru), and Córdoba, Mendoza and Buenos Aires (Argentina).
