Rio de Janeiro’s Snatos Dumont Airoport main runway, closing due to refurbishment works

Between August 24 and September 21, 2019, the main runway of Santos Dumont Airport (Rio Janeiro) will be closed for maintenance work.

According to the government, airlines have already been informed and have 45 days to plan and readjust the flights network in the terminal, mostly domestic within Brazil.

During that period, the auxiliary runway will be operational and will be used by 3C type aircrafts, such as Embraer E-190, Airbus A318 and Boeing 737-700, which minimizes the impact of more than 770,000 passengers passing per month, through Santos Dumont airport.

If you have flights issued for this period, from or to this airport, you should contact the airline or the tickets issuing company directly, in order to obtain the most updated information.
