Within the requirements to enter Uruguay, passengers are required to submit a negative result to the COVID-19 test (PCR-RT) carried out up to 72 hours before entering the country. If the passenger does not show any negative result of the test or it is invalid, the test is performed upon arrival (on passenger expense). After arrival, every tourist will remain in quarantine for seven days, regardless the PCR result. On the seventh day, another test (PCR) must be carried out, otherwise, they will remain in quarantine for 14 days since landing. If this second test is negative, passengers will be able to move freely in the country.

Ecuador allows the entry of foreigners with a negative PCR test and without symptoms. All travellers arriving in Ecuador should provide proof of a negative COVID PCR test taken no more than ten (10) days before entering the country. As long as the traveller does not present symptoms of COVID, the traveller does not need to perform mandatory preventive quarantine and they may freely move within the continental territory of Ecuador.
The Government of Ecuador requires all travellers who do not provide the results of a PCR test upon arrival to undertake one at their own expense. The traveller must then proceed immediately to quarantine in a hotel, hostel, motel or other temporary accommodation authorized for such purpose. If the traveller receives a negative test result, they may terminate the quarantine.
If the travellers wish to visit Galapagos, they must have taken a PCR test with a negative result within 96 hours of entry into Galapagos province.

Bolivia opened international commercial and cargo air operations with countries that have also opened their borders. Resumed connections will include countries like Brazil, Uruguay, Spain, and the United States.
The new entry protocols for any traveller arriving to Bolivia were approved by the National Government and require that passengers present a negative PCR COVID-19 test result with a validity date no longer than 7 days. The test result must be issued by a certified laboratory from the country of origin and must have the stamp of the Bolivian Consulate. The 14-day mandatory preventive isolation upon arrival has been suspended.

Brazil allows the entry of foreigners proving that they have medical insurance. (No need to show PCR at the moment). Foreigners visiting up to 90 days must present to the airline company, before boarding, proof of purchase of health insurance. The document must be valid in Brazil and have duration for the entire stay. Otherwise, entry into national territory may be denied.

Please note procedures may change at any time. We recommend reaching out to the embassy or consulate of each country before traveling.

As soon as we receive news from any of these countries or Argentina, Chile and Peru, we will update the information in our website accordingly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Air borders situation in South America Some countries in South America have officially started reopening their borders for tourism.
