{"id":3271,"date":"2017-11-29T15:44:15","date_gmt":"2017-11-29T18:44:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/trips-southamerica.com\/?p=3271"},"modified":"2018-01-04T15:19:26","modified_gmt":"2018-01-04T18:19:26","slug":"iguazu-airport-closes-for-a-month-for-next-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trips-southamerica.com\/webold\/iguazu-airport-closes-for-a-month-for-next-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Puerto Iguaz\u00fa airport closes for a month in the 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This will be a couple of weeks after Holy Week, from April 15 to May 15 and flights\u00a0will be landing in \/ departing from Foz Do Iguazu Airport<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued by the Ministry of Transport, announces the start of works at the airport of Puerto Iguaz\u00fa for 2018, for renewal of the runway\u00a0and to fully modernize the Iguaz\u00fa passenger terminal, the sixth busiest airport in the country and an emblematic tourist spot in Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>The works will expand the current surface of the airport of 8,000 m\u00b2, to approximately 15,000 m\u00b2 in total, with new sectors of Check-In, Boarding and Arrivals, aiming to substantially improve the travel experience of all passengers. In addition, new self-check-in machines will be added &#8211; to speed up procedures and waiting times &#8211; and new businesses that will diversify the gastronomic and technological offer. There will also be a new free, faster wi-fi service.<\/p>\n<p>Please, if you have any specific questions about how the operation will be during that period in that destination, do not hesitate to contact us.<\/p>\n<p>These year the runway and the taxiways will be rebuilt, in order to provide them with a longer useful life, which will reinforce maximum safety in air operations.
