\nThis hotel will remain closed until further notice.[\/vc_cta][vc_column_text]<\/p>\nThis coming April 2019, the geodesic shape is heading south to Bolivia\u2019s Uyuni salt flats, with the opening of Kachi Lodge, a six-room (or, rather, six-domes) camp located at the base of the Tunupa volcano.<\/p>\n
Forget about the traditional four walls, a floor, and ceiling\u2014the hottest trend in adventure travel is bubbles. Inside the orbs, it is surprising the space they have\u2014there is even space for a private bathroom and wood-fired stove\u2014but the real decoration is the panoramic views of salt flats that stretch in every direction. There will be even an observatory attached to the main dome for maximum sky views of the salt lake sky.<\/p>\n
Of course, as you cannot stay in your room forever\u2014especially in this unique setting and landscape, activities at Kachi will include hiking (to either a nearby cactus-covered island or to the volcano base), mountain biking, and visiting the village of Coquesa and its ancient mummy caves.<\/p>\n
