Level will fly to Santiago de Chile from Barcelona, the company Norwegian Air from Gatwick, UK and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and LATAM will start the route Calama (Chile) – Lima (Peru)
From March 31, 2019 Level will fly to Santiago de Chile from Barcelona, Spain, adding this route to the existing one in the region, that arrives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Level will start operating twice a week to Santiago de Chile, increasing its frequencies to four weekly flights at the end of July.
On the other hand, but from the same date, the company Norwegian Air will operate 4 frequencies a week between the airports of Gatwick, UK and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The route will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a configuration of 344 passengers, 35 in Economy Premium and 309 in Economy, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
It is the second South American destination that Norwegian will operate, after the start of its route London – Buenos Aires.
Last but not least, LATAM will start the route Calama (Chile) – Lima (Peru) as of July 2, 2019. LATAM will fly non-stop 3 times a week, connecting these 2 cities in approximately 2.30 hours.
This new connection will allow tourists to combine 2 great locations on one trip: the Atacama Desert in the North of Chile, and the Peruvian coastal city of Lima, with its great restaurants and museums – and even perhaps continuing to the amazing Machu Picchu complex.
