The best aerial HUBS for exploring the South American continent

South America, a continent full of natural wonders and diverse cultures, invites you to explore its treasures. To make your trip even more exciting, discover the key Air HUBS that connect you to this fascinating corner of the world.

If you’re a passionate traveler always looking for new adventures, South America should be on your bucket list. With a stunning variety of landscapes, fascinating cultures, and rich history, this continent offers unforgettable experiences around every corner. But before you embark on your trip to South America, it is essential to know the main air HUBS that will facilitate your arrival to this exciting destination.

1. Lima, Peru

Lima, the capital of Peru, is one of the most important air hubs in South America. The Jorge Chavez International Airport welcomes you with modern facilities and international flights. From here you can explore the natural beauty of Peru, from Machu Picchu to the Amazon, as well as other South American countries.

2. Sao Paulo, Brazil

Sao Paulo, Brazil’s vibrant metropolis, is another important gateway to South America. With two international airports, Guarulhos and Congonhas, this city connects you to destinations throughout the region.

3. Panama City

If you’re coming from North America, you’re likely to make a stop at Panama’s Tocumen International Airport. This strategic geographic location makes Panama a key hub for exploring South America. From here you can catch flights to Lima, Sao Paulo and other exciting destinations in the region.

4. Santiago de Chile, Chile

Santiago de Chile is another important hub for exploring South America. From the Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport, you can reach exciting destinations in Chile and the rest of the continent. LATAM has also re-established service between Santiago and Melbourne, Australia – now you can connect South America directly to Australia!

5. Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires, the “Paris of South America”, is another important hub for exploring the region. Ministro Pistarini International Airport (also known as Ezeiza) is the ideal gateway for travelers exploring Argentina and beyond.

What’s new in air routes

In addition to air HUBS, there are exciting new route developments that are making travel to South America even more accessible. LATAM, South America’s largest airline, has reinstated two important routes:

LATAM is once again flying to South Africa via the Sao Paulo – Johannesburg route.

On Saturday, September 9, LATAM Airlines resumed flights to the African continent on the Sao Paulo – Johannesburg route. Thanks to interline agreements with partner airlines in Africa, passengers will have connections to 47 destinations from which to visit South America.

LATAM re-launches Melbourne-Santiago service

The Santiago-Melbourne service restores a direct link between the Australian state of Victoria and South America. On September 2, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner made history as the first direct flight from South America to Victoria in 2020. This is exciting news for those who want to explore both continents in comfort.

In short, these hubs are your allies in an exciting South American adventure. Whether you want to explore the ancient civilizations of Peru, immerse yourself in the culture of Brazil or tour the breathtaking landscapes of Argentina, these hotspots will take you to incredible destinations. And with LATAM’s new routes, your travel options are even more exciting! So what are you waiting for?

Pack your bags and start your journey to South America – the continent is waiting for you!
