Esteros del Ibera, new protected area

The objective is to develop in that area of the province of Corrientes one of the largest protected areas in Argentina.

It was officially announced that Conservation Land Trust (CLT) foundation is granting 150 thousand hectares of their property in the province of Corrientes to the Argentinean government to add them to the Esteros del Iberá Natural Reserve. This huge natural preserved area will now be extended to 700 thousand hectares becoming one of the biggest protected regions of the country with highest natural diversity and recovered habitats and species.

Esteros del Ibera is soon to become declared National Park due to this new territory acquisition.
