About Pucón

This ski resort is one of the most modern in the south of the country. It is 20 minutes from Pucon, with excellent infrastructure for skiing and snowboarding, ski lifts and all amenities.

A singular experience proposed by Ski Pucón invites skiers onto the slopes of the Villarrica Volcano. Located at a short distance from the urban center, within the Villarrica National Park, this resort has 20 runs to practice skiing and snowboarding with excellent infrastructure, services and snow quality.

Ski Pucón is an undertaking by the prestigious Gran Hotel Pucón Resort & Club, which has been in charge of the facilities selected to perform countless international level sport competitions since 1990.

How to get there?

Located 19 km North of Pucón, in the Lake district, within the Villarrica National Park, it can be accessed by air through the city of Temuco, 125 km away from Pucón, and from there along Route 5 towards the South to the city of Freire.

From this point, head for Villarrica and after crossing its urban area, take the road to Pucón. Two kilometers from the city, you will see the entrance to the Villarrica National Park.
The roads are well-signaled and paved and, during the winter, the use of chain tires is mandatory.

Pucón has trails for all levels, divided into:

  • Beginners (20%)
  • Intermediate (30%)
  • Advanced skiers (30%)
  • Experts (20%)

Because of its temperate rainy conditions in the area, with frost in the winter, the Pucón Ski Center provides high quality snow, wet and icy slopes and wet and compacted snow on the base.
