We had a fun time and got lucky with great weather. We liked all of the 4 star hotels but the Pullman overall was the best. All 3 had great locations. For the other hotels Chalten Suites was number one, Merit and Mil 810 followed by Lady Florence and the worst for many reasons was Kalenshen Calafate. Our guides were all knowledgeable and kind to us despite our lack of Spanish or Portuguese. Our favorite excursion was the Perito Moreno glacier, the half day hike and float on the river in Ushuaia and the Valparaiso day trip. In Chalten Tom and I did the Mt. Ftzroy hike while Lori and Lynn did a different hike. We all liked the town of El chalten. Rio was the perfect place to end the trip with our hotel located across the street from the beach. The only problem we had on the whole trip was no driver was scheduled for our drive to the airport in Ushuaia but a text to Julian did get us there in time for our flight. Because of our language barrier this is the first time we’ve used a travel company and we liked the flexibility that they offered.
