The Chilean company, SKY airlines to operate in
the Peruvian domestic market
The low-cost Chilean airline SKY, has just announced that it will start operating routes in Peru’s domestic market starting next 2019, being a step that seeks to strengthen its regional expansion.
It is highlighted that the company’s internationalization plan, which is considered the second largest in Chile, after LATAM Airlines, contemplates the opening of an operational base in Lima.
Sources of the airline advanced that in the next days it will begin to process the official permits in the neighboring country.
“We have chosen Peru for its economic stability, the confidence the country projects and its growth figures,” SKY CEO Holger Paulmann stated.
The airline’s first commercial flight in Peru would be scheduled for the first half of 2019.
Today, the firm operates a series of domestic routes within Chile and connects Santiago with cities in Argentina, Peru and Uruguay
