Glamping in the Peruvian desert of Huacachina

The lagoon of Huacachina is an oasis in the middle of the coastal desert of the Pacific Ocean in Peru, that emerged due to the outcrop of underground currents. Around it there is abundant vegetation composed by palms, a type of carob tree  called  Huarango and eucalyptuses (introduced species). The Huacachina name has a very peculiar meaning since in quechua the word “Huacca” means to cry and “China” woman, then the name is “Woman who cries” and there is a whole legend that explains its origin.

To begin with the visit to this place, you will have to go to the city of Ica, from there you will be transferred to the Huacachina Lagoon where you will have a walking tour and, in the afternoon, you will go on an excursion in buggies touring the dunes of this beautiful desert . This is not only an exciting and adrenaline-filled ride, but you will also have the opportunity to practice sandboarding.

After seeing the sunset in the desert you will be transferred to your camp, where you will be welcome with a refreshing drink and cocktails , your chef will prepare an exquisite food on the Grill, that you will enjoy with an excellent bottle of wine that is provided per pair.

Within your tent a double or two single beds are provided, this should be requested in advance, also you will have all the comforts of a hotel such as a restroom, linen, blankets, pillows, a small night table and water.

Next morning you will be transferred to the city to a local hotel so you can enjoy an exquisite breakfast, then you will be transferred to your hotel or bus station.
