5 Latin American restaurants
among the 50 best in the world

Last June 2018, in the Spanish city of Bilbao, concluded the annual ceremony of the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” and known as the Oscars in gastronomy world.

Once again, three Peruvian restaurants were chosen among the 50 best in the world, including two of them in the top 10.

In the position No. 6 is the Virgilio Martínez chef’s restaurant, being also chosen the best restaurant in Latin America. It is necessary to remember that Virgilio Martinez was chosen in the “Chef Choice Awards 2017” as the best chef in the world.

In the No. 7 was positioned the Nikido Maido restaurant, run by renowned chef Mitsuharu Tsumura.

Then, in the position No. 39 is Astrid & Gastón, directed by Gastón Acurio.

There are two other restaurants in South America that were considered among the 50 best: D.O.M. of Brazil in 30th place and Boragó de Chile in 27th place.

Finally, Osteria Francescana (Italy) is the best restaurant in the world, followed by Celler de Can Roca (Spain)
