Colombia with its 1,141,748 km² of surfaceis is the the fourth-largest country of South America.
Its continental territory occupies the nothwest part of the continent and limits to the northwest by Panama; to the east by Venezuela and Brazil; to the south by Ecuador and Peru.

Colombia can be reached by flying, road, river or sea. Is located at the extreme of the north occidental of South America, with an area of 1.141.748 Km2, it has coasts at Pacific and Atlantic. Crossed from South to North by the Andes Mountain.

By Sea: Some cruises visit Colombia, at the ports of Cartagena, Santa Marta. Numerous sailboats sail between the Panamanian ports of Portobelo, El Porvenir or ColĂłn and Cartagena. It is a popular way to get to the country and usually stops at the San Blas islands.
From Brazil and Peru: The only border crossing is through Leticia. Leticia can be reached by boat from Iquitos (Peru) and Manaus (Brazil). The plane is the only way to go from Leticia to the rest of Colombia.
From Ecuador: You can cross in the Pan-American Highway between Tulcán (Ecuador) and Ipiales (Colombia)
From Venezuela: There are four border crossings. The most used is the one that connects San Antonio del Táchira (Venezuela) and Cúcuta (Colombia), on the main Caracas-Bogotá route.
Another well-traveled pass in ParaguachĂłn, on the highway from Maracaibo (Venezuela) to Maicao (Colombia). It is a good resource if you want to go from Venezuela to the Colombian Caribbean coast.
