Is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Andes Mountains to the east.

The Atacama altitude averages about 2,438 meters (8000 feet) above sea level. Some parts at about 3,900 meters (13000 feet),

The best season for visiting Atacama Desert are from September to November and March to May.
