Trips-SouthAmerica.com > Activities > Full day tour to a Gaucho Ranch

Overview

Santa Susana is of the favorite farms to enjoy a day in the Argentinean countryside, while learning about the Gauchos and tasting an Asado.

The ranch is located in the district of Campana, and its area is 1200 hectares big, mainly dedicated to farming, but also to tourism for the last 24 years. The main house is a renovated construction dating back to 1860.

Among the activities that can be performed after the welcome reception that takes place in the historical grocery store (Pulpería), visitors can go horseback riding, ride in carriages pulled by horses or opt for a tour of the museum and the old chapel.

Lunch takes place in saloon and consists of a typical barbecue grill (Asado) made with the best Argentine beef. A folkloric show, with the help of dancers and musicians, accompanies the moment with dances as cuecas, malambo with bolas, tangos and quebradas.

In the afternoon there will be a demostration of native skills in which gauchos show their ability to handle horses and catlle.
