Iberá Wetlands occupy the 40th position in the list of 52 places to visit in 2017.

The New York Times choose the Esteros del Iberá, in the Argentine province of Corrientes.

“This extensive wetland covering between 15 000 and 25 000 km² is the second largest in the world. Both the government and conservation organizations are developing a process of repopulating plants and animals in the area,” the NYT said.
