Bolivia no longer requires a VISA to citizens of Israel and the US as of December 2019

As of December 2019, the interim government of Bolivia through a decree has suspended the obligation for citizens of the United States and Israel to process a VISA to enter the country. This requirement has been in force since 2007 for Americans and since 2014 for Israelis.

The interim president, Jeanine Áñez, stated that the citizens of these two countries are very important for Bolivia and have always contributed to the development of tourism and investments around Bolivia. In addition, she pointed out that the area of ​​the Bolivian Amazon will surely be benefited by tourists from Israel who in recent years had been reduced.
