This will be a couple of weeks after Holy Week, from April 15 to May 15 and flights will be landing in / departing from Foz Do Iguazu Airport

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Transport, announces the start of works at the airport of Puerto Iguazú for 2018, for renewal of the runway and to fully modernize the Iguazú passenger terminal, the sixth busiest airport in the country and an emblematic tourist spot in Argentina.

The works will expand the current surface of the airport of 8,000 m², to approximately 15,000 m² in total, with new sectors of Check-In, Boarding and Arrivals, aiming to substantially improve the travel experience of all passengers. In addition, new self-check-in machines will be added – to speed up procedures and waiting times – and new businesses that will diversify the gastronomic and technological offer. There will also be a new free, faster wi-fi service.

Please, if you have any specific questions about how the operation will be during that period in that destination, do not hesitate to contact us.

These year the runway and the taxiways will be rebuilt, in order to provide them with a longer useful life, which will reinforce maximum safety in air operations. This type of work has already been carried out in the international airports of Mendoza, Ezeiza and Tucumán as well as in the airports of Chapelco, in San Martin de los Andes, and in Trelew, in the province of Chubut.
